National Super Alliance deputy presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka has advised President Uhuru Kenyatta on the Supreme Court ruling aftermath. The Wiper party leader has told Uhuru that there will never be a vote recount because the move contravenes Supreme Court orders.
Kalonzo and other NASA luminaries said they will only allow a fresh election with impartial IEBC officials. They downplayed a recount possibility claiming that the police have manipulated the results in ballot boxes. According to NASA, opening IEBC servers is the only alternative to not having an election.
“The IEBC was part of the problem since the biometric data collected was sent to the servers in France. That gave room for a few officials to manipulate and announce fake results,” Kalonzo said according to the Star.
Speaking at PAG church Kangemi, Musyoka blamed Uhuru’s lawyers for cheating the Head of State about a potential challenge to the Supreme Court decision. His co-principal Moses Wetang’ula also warned Jubilee against misusing their numerical advantage in the National Assembly to alter the constitution.
“I want to offer free legal advice to Jubilee that the decision of the Supreme Court is final and it cannot be appealed. Those lawyers who are cheating Uhuru about appealing the Supreme Court ruling are only cheating themselves,” Musyoka said.
