Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has asked NASA deputy presidential flag bearer Kalonzo Musyoka to dump Raila Odinga before it’s too late.
Wamatangi says that Kalonzo has a golden opportunity to redefine his political career only if he abandons NASA.
Speaking during an interview on NTV’s AM Live show on Tuesday, Wamatangi said that NASA will soon crumble following the exit of some of its top politicians.
He said that Kalonzo has nothing to benefit from NASA, adding that things will be harder for him once Odinga is defeated in repeat presidential election slated for October 26.
“I want to tell Kalonzo Musyoka to do what his colleagues in opposition are doing and ditch NASA if he wants to remain relevant after October 26,” he said during the interview.
The senator said that NASA is a sinking ship and that it is a matter of time before the alliance crumbles.
Wamatangi said that Kalonzo is a visionary leader but has been allegedly misled by Odinga.
NASA has suffered several setbacks in the recent past as a section of its top politicians decamp to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.
On Sunday, former Wiper party secretary-general Hassan Omar officially joined Jubilee party.
Omar who unsuccessfully contested for the Mombasa governor seat has vowed to campaign for UhuRuto’s re-election saying that Raila Odinga will never be president.
Former Taita Taveta governor John Mruttu has also ditched ODM and joined Jubilee.
