Speaking at Mulu Mutisya Grounds in Machakos on Monday, Musyoka pleaded with Ngilu to quit Jubilee saying her political career has been thrown into spanners.

Musyoka said there is still room to accommodate Ngilu and others who would like to join Cord.

Musyoka said that Cord will easily triumph in the 2017 general elections if they get support of people like Ngilu.

“I want to tell and at the same time urge my sister Charity Ngilu to stop wasting time with Jubilee government and join us in Cord,” he said.

The Wiper Party leader said that Jubilee government has ‘killed’ Ngilu’s political career and that she can only salvage it if she joins Cord.

Musyoka added that Ukambani people have missed Ngilu’s contribution in politics and development of the region.

The Cord co-principal said that the coalition is reaching out to leaders who they feel can work with them to transform the country’s development agenda.

Sources within Ukambani politics claim that Ngilu could be making a return to politics bearing in mind that she stepped aside as Lands CS on allegations of graft.

While being interviewed in a local Kamba station recently, the suspended Lands CS was quoted as having said that she had no intentions of returning to the government even if she is cleared of graft allegations.

Ngilu is among the five CSs who are on suspension as graft probe against them is being conducted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
