Siaya Senator and one of the Nasa’s main strategists, James Orengo has claimed the reason IEBC officer Chris Msando was killed is because of ‘some forces within the commission’.
Speaking on Saturday at the Uhuru Park grounds during the final NASA rally, Orengo said they ‘had confidence’ in IEBC Chair Isaac Chebukati, but there are people who work under him (Chebukati) who were not okay.
Chris Msando was killed a week ago, after disappearing for a day, only for his body to be found at the City Mortuary alongside that of a young girl, Maryanne Ngumbu.
Nasa’s presidential running mate Stephen Musyoka took issue with police investigating Msando’s murders, saying they are not sincere with their findings.
“The Inspector-General should stop lying to Kenyans that he is conducting investigations,” said Musyoka to amid cheers from the crowd at the event.
The leaders exuded confidence that they will win in the much anticipated elections on Tuesday.
“I said a tsunami is coming and now it is here. On August 8, we are listed as Number 8 on the ballot, but on August 9, we will have reached Jerusalem as the first,” said Mr Odinga.
“On Saturday, you will all be my guests at State House. We will throw a party for you all,” he added.
