Kalonzo, former vice president, said that the best way to bar Ruto from becoming the president of this nation is sending Jubilee home during the forthcoming general elections.
The lawmaker said that Ruto is among the reasons why the current regime has done little despite making many promises to Kenyans before the last general elections.
"Kenyatta is seeking a second term after which the constitution won’t allow him to vie. Now we want you to think of Ruto being president after Kenyatta. So block Ruto, we must ensure that they fall with Kenyatta,” he said as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
Kalonzo has been criticizing Ruto for using his political position for his selfish gains. The Ukambani leader argues that Ruto should not hold public office because of his questionable past record.
On his part, Ruto has expressed confidence that Jubilee will win the August General elections. He also believes that Uhuru will back him for nation’s top post, which has continued to elicit different reactions among leaders aligned to Jubilee ahead of the August polls.
