Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has called upon residents of Ukambani to back Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga in the forthcoming general polls as he seeks to ascend.

The former vice president, who spoke at a burial in Kangundo in Machakos County, said that Raila is the right man to change this country if accorded the support required, adding that the residents should back him for the seat.

“I want to tell all voters from this region to stand firm in support of my brother Odinga, as he is the only person with the requisite political experience to lead this country,” Mr Musyoka said, as nation quoted him.

Meanwhile, National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze has objected the recently unveiled NASA lineup in which Kalonzo will be gearing up for the post of Deputy President in the forthcoming general polls.

Nyenze argues that Kalonzo was shortchanged adding that the Kamba nation has been given a raw deal.

A few weeks ago, the legislator had threatened to leader Ukambani leaders to walk away from NASA if Kalonzo is not endorsed for the nation’s top seat when that time comes.
