Uhuru recently while on a campaign trail in Ukambani told Kalonzo to ditch NASA and join Jubilee. He said Kalonzo would be Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate during the 2022 general elections.

Ruto will vie for the presidency in 2022, according to an MoU he signed with Uhuru in the run-up to the 2013 general election.

“To ask Kalonzo to join Jubilee and wait until 2022 to deputise Ruto is an insult,” Raila, who addressed residents of Kyusyani in Kitui County on Thursday said.

He said his bond with Kalonzo in NASA is strong and will triumph against Uhuru and Ruto in August.

Kalonzo used the event to drum up support for NASA accusing Jubilee of failing to fulfill its 2013 campaign pledges.

Leaders who attended the rally included Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana who urged Ukambani residents to elect NASA leaders during the August election.

He said through devolution NASA will transform the country.
