Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has re-ignited calls on Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch the Raila Odinga led National Super Alliance (NASA).
Speaking when he issued bursary cheques to students at the Matuga Constituency Develop Fund (CDF) office Thursday, the Jubilee governor cautioned Kalonzo against falling into Raila’s trap.
Mvurya claimed that Kalonzo has nothing to show for the time he has worked with and supported Raila.
He said that the former Vice President (VP) is wasting his time in the opposition that he said has nothing to offer its supporters and Kenyans.
“Kalonzo should understand that he will not gain anything if he continues following hanging on Raila Odinga,” he said.
The governor who dumped Raila’s ODM party in 2015 said that NASA’s push to swear in the former Prime Minister will affect Kalonzo’s future political ambitions.
“Raila has nothing to lose and Kalonzo should be careful because he is the one who will lose big time if the illegal panned swearing-in takes place.
The Jubilee governor asked Kalonzo to stop Raila’s swearing-in and instead advise the ODM leader on appropriate channels for his agenda.
Mvurya said that Jubilee government will not be shaken by NASA’s unconstitutional tactics adding that the law will take its course.
Kalonzo returned to the country on Wednesday from Germany where he has been for close to three months attending to his wife Pauline Musyoka who was on specialized treatment.
On Thursday, the Wipe party leader dismissed claims that he is opposed to Raila swearing in.
The former Vice President said that he is ready to take oath alongside Raila if Jubilee government ignores the quest for electoral reforms.
