Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on electoral agency IEBC to ensure free and fair polls during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Wednesday, the former Vice President noted that the country was not ready for a manipulated poll, citing the controversial 2007 general elections."This country cannot afford another flawed election for the sake of our children and their children’s children," he asserted.
He further accused IEBC of deliberately frustrating Wavinya Ndeti's Machakos gubernatorial bid, questioning the commission's interest in the county's politics.
"IEBC, I ask you again, what is your interest? Wavinya Ndeti is a member of Wiper. I ask again, what is IEBC’s interest?" He posed.
IEBC had sought to bar the former Kathiani MP from vying for the Machakos gubernatorial seat, arguing that Ndeti belonged to two parties.
Ndeti is seeking to unseat governor Alfred Mutua on a Wiper Party ticket.
