Kalonzo who is currently in Beijing, China attending the annual World Eminent Chinese Entrepreneur Congress condemned the move in a press release sent to newsrooms.

"I unreservedly condemn the decision by the Jubilee Government to bar Cord from holding a legitimate prayer meeting at Uhuru Park on Madaraka Day based on false allegations regarding state security," said Kalonzo in the statement.

Kalonzo further condemned the sentiments by Government Spokesman Erick Kiraithe that Cord is working with “Two neighboring states” within the East African Community to destabilise the Jubilee government.

"If what the government spokesman has said is true, then the Jubilee government is working to destabilise the East African Community (EAC) because “Two neighboring states” can only mean the East African States. I, therefore, challenge Jubilee to tell us which neighboring countries and which individuals are working to destabilise Kenya," said Kalonzo.

"Rather than hiding under the cover of state security, Jubilee should clearly state that they are not interested in national dialogue to resolve the IEBC crisis," added Kalonzo.

Though not currently in the country, Kalonzo said that he is in close consultation with both Raila and Wetangula and all Kenyans of goodwill as they prepare themselves for the next course of action.
