Cord principal Kalonzo Musyoka has said that the opposition coalition is meeting to make a crucial decision concerning the impasse that followed after Senate assented to the controversial election laws.

Speaking on Friday, Musyoka said that plans are already underway and that on Wednesday, Cord and other opposition parties would come together to deliberate over the next course of action.

“At this Wednesday meeting a critical decision will be taken and communicated to all Kenyans on our plans to deal with this betrayal of the people by Jubilee and ensure free, fair, transparent and credible elections in August," Musyoka said together with his co-principal Moses Wetangula.

The official opposition statement was authorised and signed by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo (Wiper), Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) and Cyrus Jirongo.
