Wiper leader and Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) Co- Principal Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has dared politicians who defected from his party to Jubilee to relinquish their positions and face the electorate so that they prove their political mettle.

The confident and outspoken former vice president said that the defection of some members was inconsequential. Kalonzo believes that politicians who attended the launch of Jubilee were exercising their democratic right and their decision has not affected their walk to Statehouse in any way.

The Ukambani political kingpin, however, said that it does not make sense for someone like him to hang on a party that he or she does not believe will win the next general elections. 

In the past, many politicians and politicians who questioned Kalonzo’s political future with some believing that he can ditch Cord for Jubilee. 

The speculations about Kalonzo leaving Cord for Jubilee became widespread after it was claimed Uhuruto had promised him goodies once he executed the move.

The Wiper leader’s political career has been marred with a number of challenges including massive defections, dissatisfaction of some members because of party nominations and launching of Maendeleo Chap Chap by the incumbent Machakos Senator Dr Alfred Mutua.
