Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that National Super Alliance (NASA) will adopt parallel polling stations amidst a directive of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi.

Matiang’i had said that he will only allow persons authorized by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to be at the polling stations during the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking in Kitui and Machakos County, Kalonzo said that he will not sit back watching as the opposition’s victory is stolen when that time comes.

“Kuna huyu Mtu anaitwa Matiang’i ambaye anaanza Kuleta vurugu ya bure na ni Kijani tunamjua. He should not load it over Kenyans. This country has suffered enough. Hatuwezi suburi tuone Unyakuzi wa Kura tena,” he said.

On his part, IEBC Chief Executive and Secretary Ezra Chiloba said that the commission only allows one agent per polling station.

“We have not changed our position at all. The people who will be allowed into the polling station will be the authorised persons and the law specifies that each political party shall be represented by one agent at the polling station.”

Speaking during the Presidential debate, NASA Presidential candidate dismissed claims that the opposition has a parallel tallying station in Tanzania.
