Maalim argues that Wetangula’s fate is irreversible and that the Ford Kenyan Party leader should focus on serving his constituents as a normal senator.

According to Maalim, the push by Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to save Wetangula will not succeed.

Speaking at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi on Friday, Maalim said that Wetangula’s ouster was well calculated, adding that senators cannot be convinced to reinstate the Bungoma senator.

“My advice to Wetangula is for him to let it go and focus on his job because nothing will make the senators mostly from ODM to reinstate him,” he told journalists.

Maalim said that Wetangula’s ouster was malicious and aimed at demeaning him.

“I feel sorry for him for the embarrassment meted on him but ask him to dust it off and move forward,” he added.

The Wiper party deputy leader said that it will be difficult for NASA to remain united after the ouster.

He maintained that NASA is on its deathbed adding that it cannot be resuscitated.

Wetangula was ousted on Tuesday after eighteen NASA senators mostly from ODM voted to have him replaced by James Orengo.

On Thursday, Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka’s efforts to save Wetangula hit a snag.

The NASA principals are said to have failed to convince senators to reinstate the embattled Bungoma senator.

Raila said that NASA senators will retreat to discuss and give way forward on the ouster.

Wetangula’s ouster has opened fresh claims of cracks in the NASA coalition.A section of politicians allied to Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya have bene calling for ODM’s eviction from the coalition.

The politicians allege that ODM is to blame for internal wrangles and cracks in the coalition.
