Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Kitui West locals to vote for Edith Vethi Nyenze, the widow of the late MP Francis Nyenze in the March 26 by-election.
Kalonzo says that voting for Edith will be honoring her late husband who he said was dedicated to service delivery.
Kalonzo assured Kitui West residents that Edith Nyenze will deliver if she is voted as the next MP.
"We have confidence in Edith Nyenze that she will not let you people of Kitui West down if you entrust her with leadership as the next MP ," the Wiper Party leader said when he campaigned for the Wiper candidate in Matinyani and Kabati on Friday.
Kalonzo asked locals not to be distracted by other candidates and ensure that Wiper party clinches the Kitui West seat in the March 26 by-election.
Kalonzo at the same time asked locals to remain united and focused moving forward.
He said that the kamba community has been made a laughing stalk for year's but things are about to change.
The Kitui West MP seat was left vacant after Francis Nyenze died on December, 6 last year.
The no-nosnese and vocal legislator died after along battle with cancer.
Five candidates are contesting the seat in the March 26 by- election.
The candidates are Edith Vethe Nyenze (Wiper Party), Robert Lelli (Narc Kenya), Denis Mulwa (Independent), Frida Mutui (Kenya National Congress) and Elijah Kilonzi (Chama Cha Mapinduzi).
