Opposition coalition National Super Alliance Deputy presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka has called on Ukambani region residents to vote in Wiper Party candidates during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Monday in Kitui, the former Vice President challenged the locals to vote out all the Wiper Party rebels who are currently vying on different party tickets, describing them as community traitors.
"I am tired and fed up of political turncoats who use my name and influence to clinch power and later betray the Kamba. I urge the voters to punish them during the August polls," he said.
The Wiper Party leader drummed up support for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, arguing that the region's interests are best represented in the outfit.
"This will be a very divine election and we must come out to vote while looking at 2022. We are at the finish line, so do not despair," he said.
