Wiper party leader and National Super Alliance co-principle Kalonzo Musyoka has faulted the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for appealing a court ruling on announcement of presidential results.
This is after IEBC appealed a High Court ruling that directed that presidential results be announced at the constituency level.
According to Kalonzo, the electral body was not honest with Kenyans and it was working closely with Jubilee Party to steal votes.
“IEBC is not honest and Jubilee relies on stealing votes in order to claim victory. That is why they are against counting of votes at polling stations,” said Kalonzo.
He said peace goes hand in hand with fairness and that IEBC must ensure that the August polls are free and fair.
“IEBC should know that peace will prevail if it conducts the elections in a free and fair manner. If elections are done fairly, there won’t be any problem,” said Kalonzo.
He was speaking in Isiolo during a campaign rally by the National Super Alliance led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
