Speaking at a National Prayers meeting on Thursday, Kalonzo said he has nothing against the second in command.

He hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta for his dedication in fighting corruption during his last and second term in office.

"Uhuru, you have demonstrated leadership and we stand with you in fighting corruption. There should be no sacred cows. To Ruto, I forgive you and God bless you,” Kalonzo said.

On his part, NASA leader Raila Odinga said Kenyans will no longer die because of elections, adding that he is committed to uniting all the tribes.

"Never again shall a Kenyan die because of elections. We will fight corruption together, we are committed and hope the MOU will be implemented," Raila added.

The event was, however, not snubbed by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula.

The duo has been attacking Raila of what they termed as a betrayal.

The rift became wider following the ouster of Wetangula as the Senate's minority leader.
