[Photo/Kalonzo Musyoka]Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya leader Kalonzo Musyoka, has thrown-in the towel over his dialogue calls between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the opposition's National Super Alliance - NASA coalition.Opposition principals, led by Kalonzo, NASA leader Raila Odinga's deputy gave a one-week timeframe (since January 21) to Kenyatta, to allow room for dialogue or the 'worst' happens. The worst, according to Kalonzo may be political clash and violence between supporters of Jubilee and NASA, after Odinga and him are sworn-in as president and deputy president respectively, on January 30."Once the swearing-in is done, there will be no turning back. We will hold dialogue when Kenya is like Somalia or South Sudan. We don't want such things to happen," said Musyoka, a former vice president.During People's Assembly coast chapter in Mombasa on Sunday, January 21, Kalonzo maintained that dialogue should take place to avert eminent dangers of the planned swearing-in, which is based on the results of the August 8, 2017 general elections. Before, Kalonzo also led dialogue calls publicly. However, on Thursday while speaking in Matinyani, Kitui West Constituency, Kitui County, Kalonzo said he had given up on his dialogue chariot-call saying Jubilee government was not showing any political goodwill.According to him, he knows what the dialogue would mean to Kenyans before Nasa goes on with its inauguration plans. He said it would be so bad if Uhuru gives in for dialogue after violence erupts yet there was sufficient time to avert such a crisis.Kalonzo was speaking after Wiper nominee for the Kitui West Constituency parliamentary by-election Edith Vethi Nyenze presented her papers at the IEBC for subsequent clearance ahead of the contest on March 26.He later engaged with residents of Matinyani and Kabati markets.
