Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Thursday, Mutambu who was elected to office on Kalonzo's Wiper Party ticket but has since decamped to Jubilee Party maintained that the immediate former Vice President no longer has a say the region's political direction.

''Kalonzo has already lost hold of Ukambani. Even the party is dead.He is now just applying some desperate tactics to regain his lost position,'' said the rebel who attributed Musyoka's woes to lack of democracy in the party.

''Wiper is completely undemocratic. The party leader is busy trying to force in some outsiders with the likes of Wavinya Ndeti included at the cost of others. The lack of democracy is the reason why some of us decided to ditch the outfit,'' he said.

According to Mutambu, the NASA co-principle is set for a shock in the coming polls as the Kamba community will not fully back him like was the case in 2013.

''We have already decided on the route to take, we are no longer after Musyoka,'' he said.

This comes at a time when the party is facing a series of misfortunes with Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama recently publicly falling out with Kalonzo and the party's gubernatorial aspirant for he county Wavinya Ndeti being disqualified for allegedly belonging to two parties.

On the other side is Governor Alfred Mutua's Maendeleo Chapchap Party which is also keen on overthrowing Wiper's rule in the vote rich region.
