Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is now demanding an overhaul of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Kalonzo called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to initiate electoral reforms that will ensure the current IEBC top officials are sent home.
Speaking on Friday, the Wiper leader said the famous handshake between Kenyatta and Odinga would be meaningless if the current electoral body is not dissolved.
He accused IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and CEO Ezra Chiloba of bungling last year's election, insisting they must leave office.
"If there is going to be a meaning in the handshake, I look forward to having a new commission. We cannot go into an election in 2022 or even before with Chebukati and Chiloba at the helm. The current commission is worse than that of Issack Hassan," he said.
"We must say no to stolen elections in this country and in the African region," he added.
The former Vice President was addressing journalists at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on his arrival from Azerbaijan where he was part of an election observer mission.
Kalonzo further backed the suspension of Chiloba from the electoral agency, adding that the rot at the IEBC must be exposed.
"While I was away, I see that Chiloba has been brought into account. What is happening is something we suspected a long time ago. We are demanding that they tell us more," he added.
