Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto must pray for him and National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga for there to be an election.
According to Kalonzo if anything wrong happens to him or Raila, there will be no fresh election. He called upon the two leaders to remember that they are their ‘brothers’“The situation is such that Kenyatta and Ruto must pray for us that no one is hurt, because there will be no elections, in essence, we are joined together in brotherhood and therefore it will be in their interest that instead of reducing they would have increased our security,” he said, as quoted by Standard.Kalonzo also said that the leaders of the opposition are ready to take part in the forthcoming general election if the Jubilee side drops the controversial election amendment laws and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba leaves office. The Ukambani political kingpin said that he is ready to initiate talks with his fellow leaders to ensure that there is an election when that time comes.
