Kalonzo who was on a vote hunt in Gusii region said on Tuesday only the national delegates convention could determine his fate as an opposition member, reiterating that he has no intentions of dumping NASA.

“I am in NASA to stay, unless the national delegates convention decides otherwise," the Nation quoted the former vice president.

"If they say I am not fit to represent the party in any position, it is only then that I can abide and of course with proper reasons,” he added.

Kalonzo further accused the Jubilee administration of plotting to wreck the unity of the opposition leaders.

“This is a scheme by the ruling coalition to derail our unity. Even my friend Mudavadi (Musalia) has been raising the same concerns,” he said.

He added that he is better placed to be the Opposition's presidential flag bearer, challenging other opposition leaders eyeing the presidency to back his bid.
