Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reiterated that he is NASA to stay and will not leave the coalition even if he is not picked to be the flagbearer.
He, however, made it clear that he is determined to be NASA's flagbearer.
"Kenyans do not need to labour themselves too much because I am in NASA to stay. Tutakanyangana huko ndani. However, this time round I want to be the bride and not the bridesmaid. But whoever is picked NASA flagbearer will have my full support," said Kalonzo on Citizen TV during the JKL show on Wednesday.
Kalonzo said the reason he will not decamp from NASA is because he believes there will be enough room for all the four NASA co-principals.
"We are not yet done with amending the constitution yet. We will convince Kenyans to amend this document to have more inclusivity in government. For instance, the Bomas draft was better before it was mutilated in Kilifi," added Kalonzo.
He went ahead to defend the National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze who had given NASA a Monday ultimatum to name Kalonzo the flagbearer or Wiper party quits NASA.
He said that leadership of a country is a matter that evokes a lot of emotion noting that "Nyenze should not be vilified for expressing his point with such vigour. After all our party is democratic."
