Wiper party chief Kalonzo Musyoka confirmed during a live interview that he does not support Nyenze's ultimatums but he does backs his right of expression. Musyoka replied that whatever Nyenze said was a personal opinion which should not be used to victimize the parliament minority leader.
“If Hon Nyenze expresses a strong opinion, about his leader… give it to him. There are those who have come fully in support of Francis Nyenze and I have actually said he has nothing to retract because they can quote what some of our friends did… Joho (Mombasa Governor) actually said they will never take other recommendations expect that of our brother Raila being the flag bearer,” Musyoka told Journalists on Friday as quoted by Capital FM.
The above defense made many question Kalonzo's hand in the the tough talking Francis Nyenze. He has however denied his influence in the push from his supporters to have him picked as the NASA candidate.
“We are saying we are getting tired since time is running out and it looks like it is a scheme to wait until the last minute to lock out any other presidential candidate. Honorable Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has suffered a lot of humiliation under some party in the Opposition. He has been called a watermelon, but like Jesus before Pontius Pilate he has kept quiet, he has taken the trash but now he cannot take it any longer. The Kambas have reached an edge whereby if it is not Kalonzo we will go it alone," Nyenze said.
