Cord co-principal and Wiper Democratic party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has declared that if Cord wins the next elections in 2017, corruption will be a thing of the past.
Speaking during the Mashujaa Day celebrations at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos County on Thursday, Kalonzo addressed the President Uhuru and those present indicating that the vice had plagued the Jubilee administration would not be experienced during the Cord regime.
"President, if Cord defeats you in the forthcoming 2017 elections, then corruption will be a thing of the past. During a recent State House summit in Nairobi, you said you had done your part but the country continues to experience corruption day in day out. With Cord, this will not be seen," said Kalonzo.
The Wiper leader was accompanied by his Cord co-principal Moses Wetang'ula who he introduced to the crowd. Kalonzo also thanked Uhuru for visiting Machakos County and even went ahead to declare that he had no hard feelings for those leaders who had decamped from Wiper party to the newly formed Jubilee party.
