NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has castigated National Assembly minority leader Francis Nyenze for creating an impression that Wiper party is divided in its resolve to support his position in the Opposition alliance. Speaking to the media on Friday, the Wiper party leader asked the Kamba community to support his candidature as a running mate to the ODM leader Raila Odinga in the forthcoming general elections. “Please ignore those expressions perhaps of honourable Nyenze having wanted me to be the flag-bearer. And I know his feelings but now I have to call him to order,” said Kalonzo as quoted by Capital News.He said while the decision to once again shelve his presidential ambitions in favour of Raila was painful, his supporters need to get on board with the decision moving forward.“Sometimes it’s very painful to take the decisions but once made, then it behoves all of us to move in that direction,” said the former Vice President. Nyenze has taken issue with the NASA line-up unveiled on Thursday, last week, which identified Raila as the presidential candidate. He said the coalition should have respected the MoU signed between Raila and Kalonzo in 2013 before naming Raila the flag bearer.“In my own opinion the Kamba nation got a raw deal and we do not want anybody to take Kamba's for a ride,” Nyenze said on Friday.
