Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has rubbished claims that he is likely to defect to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side before the next general polls.

Speaking in reference to an article by Daily Nation, Kalonzo said that he has no intention to ditch the National Super Alliance (NASA) just because he has been promised “goodies by Jubilee government”.

According to Kalonzo, leaders who are waiting for him to defect to Jubilee are in for a rude shock. "We will expose you for who you are. If anybody thinks they can tie me and sell me, they are mistaken... I am a national leader. We must make it clear. This is very misleading," he said, as quoted by the Star.

The former Vice President affirmed that he will fight for the opposition’s flag bearer ticket when that time comes. The Ukambani political kingpin insisted that if he had plans of going solo he would not be wasting his time attending various meetings and rallies organized by leaders of the soon to be launched NASA.

"I attended the first major event in Bomet. If I had intentions of wanting to run separately I would not have gone to the event. Some of the people propagating this lie may be agents who want to cause suspicion," he added.
