The former vice president also distanced himself from allegations that he influenced the outcome of the Kitui Wiper nominations in which the incumbent Dr Julius Malombe floored Musila.
Musila was compelled to leave Wiper in order to contest as an independent candidate for the seat in August. Kalonzo insisted that he enjoys cordial relationship with Musila and they will remain friends
“I never got involved in how our party chose candidates and it doesn’t matter which political party Senator Musila is in, we’ll remain friends and I'm ready to work with him again,” he said.
The differences between the two leaders jeopardized National Super Alliance(NASA) campaigns in this part of the nation after the senator accused Kalonzo of imposing leaders on the people.
Barely a month after the departure of Musila, his Machakos Counterpart Johnson Muthama followed suit when he accused Kalonzo of rigging out Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala in favor of Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti, claims which Kalonzo has denied on several accounts.
The former vice President has asked Kalonzo to declare his political stand in NASA.
