Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka insists that the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy is stronger than ever and hinted possibility of other ‘big’ names joining it soon.
The Cord coalition has been rocked with internal wrangles with Wiper and Ford Kenya affiliates accusing ODM of shortchanging them and subsequently threatening to reconsider their marriage.
Kalonzo who was speaking at Kemera in Nyamira on Sunday urged members of the Gusii community to remain steady in the opposition insisting that it would form the next government after the 2017 polls regardless of the flag bearer.
“There are absolutely no wrangles in the opposition and what you normally hear in the media are just but internal democracy. We agree and sometimes disagree. This makes us stronger than before,” he said.
“We are united and my appeal is that you remain in Cord because we will form the next government. No one will exit rather we are about to receive some other bigger names to make our house strong even than Jubilee thinks,” he added.
He urged youths to register in numbers and challenged the government to fast track the process of national Identity Card registration for people who had reached the minimum age for Kenyan citizenship.
