Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the only candidate who is fit to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Mbui said the former Vice President has the experience to replace Uhuru and continue with the country's development agenda.
In an interview with a local daily on Sunday, Mbui said the country needs Kalonzo's leadership to liberate itself.
He said Kalonzo is a performer and should be given chance in 2022.
Mbui stated that time has come for presidency to be taken over by another community apart from Kikuyu and Kalenjin.
"Kenyans must wake up and agree that the presidency is not a preserve of two communities, others must also be given space to ascend to top leadership," Mbui said.
The Wiper lawmaker asked Kenyans to rally behind Kalonzo when time comes.
He said as Kamba leaders, they will put up spirited campaigns to make sure that Kalonzo wins the presidency in 2022.
Mbui called on Deputy President William Ruto to shelve his bid and declare support for Kalonzo.
The MP at the same time laughed off Machakos governor Alfred Mutua's bid to be president.
He said Mutua cannot be president before Kalonzo Musyoka.
Mbui said Mutua is a junior politician who came to political fame courtesy of Kalonzo.
