Homa Bay county Senator Moses Kajwang' has reiterated that NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is an important figure in the coalition's politics.
According to Kajwang', Kalonzo is important in consolidating the Kamba votes for the opposition in the forthcoming elections. Kajwang' believes the recent shift of Charity Ngilu from the Jubilee side to the opposition is owed to Kalonzo's work.
"Kalonzo Musyoka is an important asset for the NASA outfit. The NASA chief is an important figure that is useful in consolidating Kamba votes for the opposition and that is why Charity Ngilu is now on the opposition's side," said Kajwang'.
While speaking during an interview on Citizen Extra interview show on Thursday, Kajwang' further refuted claims that Kalonzo and his Wiper team had already given ultimatums to NASA.
Kajwang' believes it is only fair for Kalonzo to campaign for himself for NASA's presidential ticket just as the other chiefs are doing.
"There is a notion that should be dealt with. Kalonzo has not given NASA ultimatums on the coalition's presidential ticket. It is only fair to let the leader campaign for the ticket just as the other opposition chiefs are doing," added Kajwang'.
