Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has dismissed Machakos governor Alfred Mutua’s 2022 presidential bid, saying that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the Kamba’s chosen and ordained 2022 presidential candidate.
Mule argues that Governor Mutua has no political strengths and muscles to contest the presidency, adding that Kalonzo is the only approved Kamba candidate for 2022.
Addressing residents in Matungulu Town on Sunday, the Wiper lawmaker said that they will ally to make sure Kalonzo is president in 2022.
Mule said that the former Vice President has the experience and qualities to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as president.
“Kalonzo Musyoka is the Kamba anointed and ordained presidential candidate in 2022 and we will do everything to make sure he is president,” the MP said.
Mule stated that Kalonzo will equally and respectfully champion the regions of Kenyans if he is elected president in 2022.
He said that Kalonzo presidency is what the country needs to achieve development and address social, political and economic challenges.
Mule asked Kambas to back Kalonzo in 2022 and shun politicians who he said are only good at Public Relations stunts and propaganda.
The lawmaker exuded confidence that NASA leader Raila Odinga will approve Kalonzo’s candidature in 2022.
Kalonzo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raila that will see him fly the NASA ticket in 2022.
There have, however, been claims that Raila might not honor the MOU after Raila failed to clinch the presidency in the 2017 presidential election.
The Wiper leader has been under pressure to quit NASA after he skipped Raila Odinga’s inauguration as the people’s president on January 30 at Uhuru Park.
Kalonzo will face off with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, Deputy President William Ruto, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi who have declared interest in the presidential seat in 2022.
