Machakos Women Representative Dr Susan Musyoka has asked MPs who recently defected from Wiper Party to Jubilee Party to have some respect for Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Dr Musyoka says that the defectors have no moral authority to discuss Kalonzo in their meetings since they are no longer Wiper members.

Speaking to journalists after visiting Mwiso Children’s Home in Mwala constituency, the women representative said that Kalonzo is a senior Kamba politician who should be respected.

“These people (defectors) should understand that Kalonzo is not just anyone he deserves respect,” she said.

Dr Musyoka said that the ultimatums issued to Kalonzo by some defectors show lack of respect.

“Who are they to start issuing ultimatums to someone who is so senior to them?” she asked.

Dr Musyoka said that Kalonzo remains Ukambani political leader who deserves respect.

She said that the region is behind Kalonzo adding that claims that the Wiper leader has lost influence in the region are not true.

On Sunday, several MPs who defected from Wiper issued a 30-day-ultimatums to Kalonzo asking him to bring Kambas together.

The MPs led by Yatta’s Francis Mwangangi accused Kalonzo of inciting the community against Jubilee government.

The MPs asked Kalonzo to ditch Cord and join Jubilee Party saying that he has no future in the Raila Odinga led coalition.
