Wiper Party has dismissed claims that its leader Kalonzo Musyoka is contemplating joining the Jubilee.
Wiper Party through its chairman David Musila on Tuesday denied the claims are being spread in some sections of the media.
Musila said that the claims are unfounded and meant to cause confusion in Cord.
“Some people are spreading speculations that wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is contemplating quitting Cord and move to Jubilee, those are political gimmicks,” said Musila.
Musila further decried the claims as nonsense saying that Wiper leader is not going anywhere.
“We are aware that some people are keen to cause confusion and division in Cord for their own benefits,” he said.
Musila said that the party is still a member of the Cord family.
“Wiper is still in Cord and it is not part to the claims being spread around,” he said.
There have been claims that Jubilee is courting Kalonzo ahead of the 2017 general elections.
It is claimed that some members of the Wiper party were part of the delegation from Ukambani that visited State House two weeks ago.
Jubilee is eyeing Ukambani votes with President Uhuru Kenyatta expected to visit the region starting May 19.
On Monday while being interviewed on Citizen TV, Cord leader Raila Odinga claimed that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between him and Kalonzo Musyoka in 2013 no longer exists.
The revelation by Raila Odinga is likely to cause more confusion in the Coalition.
There have been claims that there are disagreements between the Cord co-principals both who have shown interest to vie for the presidential seat in 2017 elections.
According to political analysts, the move by Cord co-principals to seek the presidential seat is likely to cause rift and division in the coalition.
During the rally held at Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi two weeks, ago the Cord co-leaders assured their supporters that there were united.
The leaders said that there was no discord in cord accusing Jubilee of trying to cause division in the coalition.
