Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and close ally for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has maintained that the former vice president is still a force to reckon when it comes to Ukambani politics.

Despite losing the highest number of politicians to Jubilee during its launch a few weeks ago, Kilonzo believes that the party is still strong under the leadership of Kalonzo, who was recently endorsed to be Wiper Party flagbearer during the next general elections.

He also urged leaders to ensure proper nominations before the next general elections. It's a shock therapy for Wiper. We need to invest in proper nominations.

Kalonzo is still a force to reckon with in the region. He added: "A large percentage of the defectors know they will lose their election. Jubilee is throwing good money after bads."

Kilonzos sentiments come at a time when the leadership of Wiper Party is facing one of the most difficult moments since it was launched. Already three governors from Kitui, Makueni and Machakos are thinking of fighting for their political careers without Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua became the first to leave the party and formed Maendeleo Chap Chap movement, which he will use to defend his seat. Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe and Governor Kivutha Kibwana are also contemplating of ditching the party.
