Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a stern warning to President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga over the push for unity and reconciliation.
Kalonzo said the country will not heal if Uhuru and Raila continue to personalize the unity talks.
Speaking in Naivasha during a Wiper party parliamentary retreat on Friday, the former Vice President said any reconciliation process must be inclusive.
He accused the duo of treating the unity push as their personal affairs.
"President Kenyatta and Honorable Raila Odinga must ensure that every stakeholder and more so Kenyans are fully involved in the unity and reconciliation process," Kalonzo said.
The Wiper leader warned that the push for unity is likely to stall if Uhuru and Raila refuse to consult and listen to views of other leaders.
On Wednesday, during the joint parliamentary address, President Kenyatta pledged to unite the country.
The President asked Kenyans for forgiveness after last year's divisive general election.
Pressure is now mounting on Uhuru and Raila to expedite the reconciliation process even as politicians across the divide engage in premature 2022 succession politics.
