NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are using stolen money to finance their campaigns.
Speaking in Kwale County during his two-day vote-hunt tour in the region, Kalonzo said that the money that was allegedly stolen in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal is being used to fund Jubilee’s campaigns.
“Jubilee is using NYS money to bribe citizens to vote for it, but it won’t make it,” said the Wiper boss on Saturday.
Flanked by Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, Lamu County Woman Representative Shakila Abdalla and a host of leaders from Coast region, Kalonzo said time had now come for the NASA to wrest power from the Jubilee administration.
“This country is ablaze with corruption and the President admitted he has lost the war on graft. Every government department has been riddled with massive corruption. We must send Jubilee home in August polls to liberate our country,” said the former Vice President.
Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru who is at the centre of the NYS scam has been fighting to clear her name.
Last year, she swore an affidavit in which she implicated four other people who had never been mentioned in relation to the multi-million-shilling scandal.
She linked among others; National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and Senate Deputy Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, but the two have maintained they are innocent.
