Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that the Machakos people’s park is only the project worth praised Dr. Alfred Mutua has set up in this part of the country since he was elected into power.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Citizen TV, Kalonzo said that he appreciates Mutua’s effort to establish the project, which has turned into a landmark in the region.
“I would like to give Alfred credit for Machakos people’s park. Apart from that, I don’t think there is anything else,” he said. The former vice President, however, said that he was not happy with the defection of Mutua from Wiper to form Maendeleo Chap Chap as he seeks to defend his seat.
According to Kalonzo, he opted to let Mutua walk away because he was easy to manipulate.
“I was very disappointed because I had hope I could mentor Alfred to become a good leader but he showed that he was in a hurry, he could be manipulated so I handed him over along with the other team of defectors to my brother Uhuru Kenyatta,” added Kalonzo.
On his part, Mutua claims he defected from Wiper because the party boss and other leaders had hatched a plot to rig him out of the August polls.
