A fake Facebook page under the name National Super Alliance  (NASA) has released a forged letter claiming that Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has opted to walk away from Cord leader Raila Odinga to run as an Independent candidate before the forthcoming general polls, reports Tuko.co.ke.

According to sources the page is being administered by anti-Raila supporters.  The leaders of the alliance are yet to officially respond to the letter.

"Fellow Kenyans, I hereby wish to withdraw from NASA(a process which my legal team has began) and offer my candidacy for the office of the president of the Republic of Kenya, under the Wiper Democratic Movement ticket. I shall soon be naming my running mate. With this move, I aspire to claim our lost glory, our lost ideals, our lost greatness and once again become a beacon of peace, love and unity," reads part of the letter as  quoted by Tuko.co.keThis is not the first time for such letters to surface online as the race to state becomes tougher. The speculations come after  Raila Amolo Odinga made it clear that he will honor the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by different parties affliated to the National Super Alliance (NASA).

The former prime minister, who was speaking during an exclusive interview on Citizen TV insisted that he will not betray any of the principals after completing his term in office. “I have not said that I will run again. But that (2013) agreement was frustrated by circumstances,” he said, as quoted by Nation.

The remarks of  Raila come after leaders from Ukambani and Western Kenya raised concern  that he had failed to honor between Wiper and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). Led by National Assembly Minority leader Francis Nyenze, leaders from this part of the nation lamented that National Super Alliance (NASA) had given them a raw deal after the former prime minister Raila was fronted as the flag bearer Raila has also raised an alarn over the preparedness of the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission ahead of the polls.

“They are too economical with facts and information. They need to be more transparent. They still have officers whose conduct in the last elections still leaves a lot to be desired,” he said.
