Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka is now a lonely man after a number of influential Ukambani leaders declared their support for the Jubilee administration. Led by former Wiper party chairman David Musila, the leaders said they did not wish to be left out of government for the next five years, following NASA’s humiliating defeat in the just-concluded general election. “We don’t think as Ukambani leaders it will be good to stay in the opposition for the next five years. It will not be in our best interest,” Mr Musila, the outgoing Kitui senator, told journalists, as per Kenyans.co.ke. Mr Musyoka, Raila Odinga’s running mate in the National Super Alliance (coalition), was hoping to use the opposition to be part of the government. Even as he continues to be isolated by fellow leaders from the region, the former vice president is yet to reveal his next move in politics. Mr Musila, an ex-deputy speaker of the national assembly, said the Kamba community was fed up with the decisions made by Musyoka and NASA. “Two million Ukambani voters will not be held ransom by one man called Kalonzo Musyoka,” Musila said. The leaders urged Raila and other election losers who are dissatisfied with the outcome of the results to seek redress in courts, and not the streets. “The aggrieved party should follow the laid down procedure, in accordance with our constitution and seek legal redress,” a statement prepared by the leaders read in part. Accompanying Musila were: Bernard Kitungi, Joe Mutambo, Charles Nyamai, Marcus Muluvi, Nimrod Mbai, John Munuve Mati and Benson Itwiku Mbai
