Governor Sonko invited all Muslim faithful to attend the event at the City Hall.

Kalonzo and Ruto were snapped in Kanzus as they enjoyed a meal with the governor.

The meeting comes weeks after Ruto and Kalonzo agreed to bury their past for the sake of national healing.

Kalonzo said he had learned not to hold grudges over political issues.

“I have learnt never to hold a grudge with my competitors. Ruto you call yourself a hustler, you are the hustler that won. I forgive you,” Kalonzo told Ruto.

The Ukambani political kingpin has been Ruto’s greatest rival with both of them eying the nations’ top seat in 2022.

The leaders were known for firing salvos at each during the campaigns ahead of the 2017 General elections.

Kalonzo accused Ruto of misleading President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The change of heart of the two leaders has caused speculations among analysts and the entire public.

The presidential decision of the two leaders is likely to change the political climate of the nation in 2022.

The two leaders have expressed confidence that they have what it takes to ascend to power when that time comes.
