NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi have differed over the manner in which events are unfolding in the NASA coalition.
Their differences were exposed after a meeting held between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader and former NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga.
According to Kalonzo, the meeting was a good sign and reflected the vision the NASA fraternity has always had with regard to governance in the country.
He said he was happy since the Friday meeting was just in line with what he has always wanted for the country.
"We shall meet on Monday as party leaders and we shall sit and talk. Right now I feel I have a lot of peace in my heart because this dialogue is what we have been advocating for," he said.
However, Mudavadi argued that Raila's move was a form of betrayal and that he did not represent the coalition.
"We were neither aware, briefed, consulted nor invited. Was the meeting a culmination for the dialogue NASA has been agitating for? The answer is NO," an emotional Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi claimed that Raila had acted o his own and that his actions did not arise from inside consultations.
