This comes a day after the ODM party moved a motion in the Senate to remove Wetangula, a Nasa principal, as the House’s Minority leader.

Raila Odinga’s party wants the Ford Kenya leader replaced by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Mudavadi met on Friday in Karen to discuss ODM’s move to kick out the senator from the post.

In a statement after the meeting, Amani National Congress secretary general Barack Muluka said, “Nasa principals H.E Kalonzo Musyoka, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi and Hon. Moses Wetangula have this morning held a consultative meeting in Nairobi, following the happenings in the Senate on 15 March 2018. The three principals have reaffirmed their total confidence in Wtangula as the official leader of the Minority in the Senate. Their support for Wetangula in this regard is unwavering."

Speaking in Kisii on Friday, Odinga, who signed a unity deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta without consulting the three principals, said he was not aware of the move by his party to replace Wetangula with Orengo as Senate's minority leader.

"I am also seeing this on papers and I have spoken with my colleagues. I am not aware of the unfortunate plans," said the former prime minister.
