A National Super Alliance (NASA) affiliate politician has lost his mother. Mama Kavwea, mother to Kitui Senator David Musila died aged 95. Her family revealed that she suffered from age related complications. The senator’s son Aaron Musila explained the cause his grandmother’s death.
“She was around 95 years old and was suffering from complications related to old age. She was admitted to the hospital about four weeks ago,” said Aaron Musila as quoted by Kenyans.
Senator Musila parted ways with Kalonzo Musyoka led party Wiper Democratic Movement after losing to incumbent Julius Malombe. The former Wiper National Chairman said his defeat in the Kitui gubernatorial race was unfair. He blamed NASA running mate Kalonzo Musyoka for altering the nomination results to favor Malombe.
“The party leader ordered results that were compiled by my opponent to be announced at Kitui tallying center without reference to the National Elections Board officials who fled Kitui due to insecurity. The nomination perfectly follows the trend established in Makueni and Machakos where the party leader has decided who should be gubernatorial flag bearer without consideration of the wishes of the electorate in the respective counties,” Musila lamented as quoted by the channel.
