The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has said two politicians from his Ukambani backyard will be appointed Cabinet Secretaries should the opposition form the next government.

Speaking during an exclusive interview on Musyi FM, Kalonzo said Kitui Senator David Musila and NARC party leader Charity Ngilu will be powerful Ministers in NASA administration if they lose in the next month election.

The two politicians are seeking to unseat Kitui Governor Julius Malombe of Kalonzo's Wiper Democratic Movement of Kenya (WDM-K).

"I have promised Ngilu an influential Cabinet post. Musila too will get a powerful docket like being the CS for transport," said the Wiper leader on Friday.

The hopeful Deputy President defended his move to endorse and campaign for Malombe, arguing it was his duty as a party leader to lobby support for candidates vying on his party ticket.

"Even as we move around with her (Ngilu), I have told her she is the NARC leader and I am Wiper leader. I, therefore, have to campaign for Malombe who is my party's candidate," he said, as quoted by the Star.

Kalonzo thanked Ngilu, Wavinya Ndeti (Chama Cha Uzalendo) and Kivutha Kibwana (Muungano Party) for supporting NASA and putting effort to strengthen it.

"The move by Kivutha, Wavinya and Ngilu to work with us was most welcome. We have not been there before as the Kamba nation," he added.
