Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) arrest, prosecute and jail governors suspected of graft if it ascends to power in August.
Speaking during the Fourth Devolution Conference at Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute In Naivasha, Kalonzo said that increased cases of Corruption at the county levels are hurting the economy of this nation, adding that the opposition will not tolerate the vice if it rises to power come August.
According to Kalonzo, different counties have continued to lag behind when it comes to development because of massive runaway graft cases.
He further said that county officials are colluding with rogue contractors to defraud the public.
“The delays mean that contractors bribe county officials to expedite their payments,” Kalonzo said, as quoted by Star.
The Cord co-principal cited the case of Nigeria where several governors have been put behind bars because of corruption.
“I will give an example of Nigeria where almost all the first governors are spending their life in jail due to corruption. And while I am not threatening you, you should be cautious of how you spend public money,” he said.
