Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has come out to defend the National Assembly Minority Leader, Francis Nyenze, following criticism he has been receiving after dismissing the Nasa presidential line-up.

The National Super Alliance named Raila as the flag bearer with Musyoka as his running mate. However, according to Nyenze, who is also the Kitui West MP, Kalonzo should have been named the coalition’s presidential candidate.

Kalonzo who was addressing journalist, Wednesday, in Karen, Nairobi, blamed the media for portraying the legislator in a negative manner adding that Nyenze was entitled his opinion.

“The issue here is honourable Francis Nyenze has received a lot of negative media because of stating what he believes. What he believes is that I should have been the Nasa flag bearer. He was completely entitled to that,” Kalonzo said.

“I don’t want a gentleman (Nyenze) I have known for so long and such a wonderful friend being dismatched,” he added.

The former Vice President asked the Kitui West law maker to accept the Nasa decision adding that all will be well.

“I want to assure honourable Francis Nyenze nothing has gone wrong, we have decided to move on and I think you shall be the one to laugh,” said Kalonzo.
