National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has opened up on his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In an exclusive interview with Sunday Standard, the former Vice President said although they are bitter rivals with Uhuru in public, they are friends in private.

“I have no enmity whatsoever or with anybody. I can ring him (Uhuru) up today or tomorrow for a chat,” he said.

Kalonzo further said the Jubilee Party leader need to have a dialogue with the opposition led by Raila Odinga to resolve the political stalemate in the aftermath of the 2017 election.

The Wiper leader vowed to visit his 'friend' Uhuru at the State House and demand for face-to-face talks with the Head of State if he does not invite the opposition for dialogue before the month ends.

"If they- Uhuru and Raila- cannot come together, I hope they will allow me to bring them together so that they can look at each other in the face. These are people who have worked together in the past,” Kalonzo said.

He added: “If I do not get a word in the next few days, I may walk to the President myself and I hope this time round the media will come along.”
