Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has disputed claims by the government that National Resistant Movement is an outlawed group.
Kalonzo said it was wrong for the Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to list NRM among the outlawed groups in the country on the Kenya Gazette.
“I affirm the membership of NASA, It is a legitimately registered coalition,” Kalonzo said.
He addressed the press during closure of a Wiper Women Democrats workshop at a hotel in Athi River, Machakos County on Tuesday.
Kalonzo said the NASA leadership condemns people within the coalition being used by the Jubilee administration to destabilize it.
“We condemn anybody within the coalition being used by the government to disintegrate NASA,” Kalonzo added.
He said NRM was committed to saying ‘NO’ to violation of the Kenyan institution by the State.
Kalonzo said there would be no election unless NASA puts an end to ‘theft’ in the electoral process.
He was accompanied by Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, Senator Judith Sijeny, among other Wiper leaders.
